While travel emergencies are never anticipated when planning
a vacation, they can and do happen. An unexpected illness could force you to
cancel your long-awaited trip at the last moment. Or an emergency while
vacationing overseas could require English-speaking assistance. This program
offers an easy and convenient way to purchase supplemental coverage against
these unfortunate incidents at an attractive group rate. Comparable coverage
could cost up to twice the indicated plan cost amount. It is important to note
that most government sponsored health plans generally pay only a portion of
medical and hospital expenses incurred when you’re traveling outside your
country.

Companion being hijacked, quarantined, required to serve on a jury, subpoenaed,
involved in a traffic accident en route to departure, or having Your
home made uninhabitable by fire, flood, or natural disaster; the Insurer will
pay benefits up to Your total Trip cost for the covered expenses stated
below:
Trip Cancellation Covered
Expenses: (a) non-refundable cancellation (and administrative) charges
imposed by Clipper, and/or airfare cancellation charges imposed by the
airline(s) which provided direct flight connections to join or depart Your Trip;
or (b) additional costs You may incur as a result of a change in the per-person
occupancy rate of prepaid travel arrangements if Your Traveling Companion cancels
his/her Trip for one of the covered reasons and You do not. In no event shall
the amount reimbursed exceed the amount You paid for Your Trip.
Trip Interruption Covered
Expenses: (a) the amount of unused, non-refundable sea or land arrangements
prepaid to Clipper for Your Trip; (b) the greater of either: (i) the amount of
the unused, non-refundable prepaid air arrangements which formed a part

from Your unused return travel ticket, to return to Your point of origin
or to rejoin the original Trip, limited to the cost of economy one-way airfare
(or first class if Your original tickets were first class) by the most
direct route; and (c) the cost of reasonable additional accommodation and
transportation expenses incurred to remain with a Traveling Companion or
Immediate Family member who is hospitalized during Your Trip, up to $100 per
day (subject to a maximum of $1,000).
NOTE: The event which
necessitated the Trip Cancellation/Trip Interruption must occur after the
effective date of coverage.
Special Conditions - You
must advise Your Vacations To Go cruise counselor, Clipper and BerkelyCare as
soon as possible in the event of a claim. The Insurer will not pay benefits for
any additional charges incurred that would not have been charged had You
notified these parties as soon as reasonably possible.
Important: The above
benefits are subject to a Pre-Existing Condition limitation (see below) and
other exclusions.

The Insurer will pay benefits
for Covered Expenses, up to $4,000, if Your Trip is delayed due to inclement

Companion is not directly involved; lost or stolen passports; hijacking;
natural disaster; civil commotion or riot.
Covered Expenses include
any prepaid, unused, non-refundable Trip arrangements, any reasonable
additional expenses for meals and lodging, and the cost of a one-way economy

on the travel documents.

PART B. MEDICAL PROTECTION

The Insurer will pay benefits
for Covered Expenses, up to $30,000, if an Injury or Sickness commencing during

Emergency Evacuation must be ordered by a legally licensed Physician who
certifies that the severity of Your Injury or Sickness warrants an Emergency
Evacuation.
Emergency Evacuation means:
(a) Your medical condition warrants immediate Transportation from the place
where You are injured or sick to the nearest hospital where appropriate medical
treatment can be obtained; and/or (b) after being treated at a local hospital,
Your medical condition warrants Transportation to where You reside to obtain
further medical treatment or to recover.
Covered Expenses are customary
and reasonable expenses, up to $30,000, for Transportation, medical services,
and medical supplies necessarily incurred in connection with Your Emergency
Evacuation. All Transportation arrangements made for Your evacuation must be by
the most direct and economical route possible. Expenses for Special

provided by another party at no cost to You or already included in the cost of
the Trip.

where You reside if You die during the Trip.
Covered Expenses include,

repatriation, and Transportation.

policy, and the Sickness must first manifest itself during the Trip. You must
receive initial treatment within ninety (90) days of the accident which caused
the Injury or the onset of the Sickness. All services, supplies, or treatment
must be received within 52 weeks of the date of the accident or the onset of
the Sickness.
Covered Medical Expenses are
necessary services and supplies which are recommended by the attending
Physician. They include the services of a legally qualified Physician, surgeon,
graduate nurse, dentist, or osteopath; charges for hospital confinement and use
of operating rooms; charges for anesthetics (including administration), x-ray
examinations or treatments and laboratory tests; ambulance service; drugs,

providers of medical care in the locality in which the care is
furnished.

articles trimmed with or made mostly of fur; and cameras and their related

is delayed or misdirected by a Common Carrier for more than 24 hours from the
time You arrive at the destination stated on Your ticket. You must be a

and/or insurance specifically insuring the lost, stolen, or damaged item(s).
Please note that items specifically excluded from this coverage are listed.
