The last thing you want to worry about is a problem on your
trip. But because the unexpected does sometime occur, Costa offers a
custom-tailored protection plan to ensure peace of mind while you cruise. It
protects your investment should you have to cancel or interrupt your cruise for
an unexpected reason. It protects you against baggage loss or delay. It provides medical expense coverage if you
should fall ill or have an accident during your trip. And it gives you access
to the AIG Assist Assistance Services Network, so you can get emergency
assistance 24 hours a day, anywhere in the world. Costa’s Travel Protection
Plan is especially important when you go to Europe,
because Medicare and many private insurance policies do not cover you outside North
America.
Compared to the coverage and costs of other travel
protection plans, Costa’s protection plan is quite a bargain, especially when
you consider all the expense and heartache it can save! To purchase Costa’s
Travel Protection Plan, ask your Vacations To Go cruise counselor for a copy of
the Description of Coverage. It details the terms, conditions and exclusions of
the plan. You pay the plan cost either upon booking or when you make your final
payment. Your coverage begins as soon as Costa receives the appropriate plan
cost and lasts until you return home.

A Guarantee from Costa for Pre-existing Conditions
If you purchase Costa’s Travel Protection Plan and have a
trip cancellation or trip interruption claim that is denied because of a
pre-existing condition, a common exclusion in travel insurance policies, Costa
will issue a travel credit equal to the cancellation penalties or the pro-rated
value of an interrupted cruise. Unlike other plans, Costa’s protection program
does not limit this feature to policies purchased at the time of deposit.
