Cancel For Any Reason Waiver 
When you purchase this travel protection plan within 7 days of your initial deposit/payment for your trip, you also receive the Hurtigruten Cancellation Waiver Benefit that allows you to cancel or change your Hurtigruten travel arrangements up to 24 hours prior to sailing for any reason . With this Hurtigruten Cancellation Waiver, your cruise cancellation penalty will be refunded in Hurtigruten travel certificates, with the balance of the refund paid by check or credit card credit. Any benefit payable under this Cancellation Waiver will be reduced by the amount of any cancellation benefits paid or payable by the Hurtigruten Travel Protection Plan or any other insurance plan providing Trip Cancellation benefits. This Cancellation Waiver does not cover any Pole to Pole or repositioning sailing. Please Note: This travel protection plan may not be purchased after you have made your final payment for your Trip.

Waiver of the Pre-Existing Condition Exclusion
This plan is available regardless of your age. Pre-existing medical conditions are covered if your premium is received within 7 days of your initial deposit/payment for your trip (provided you are not already disabled from travel when you pay your premium).

If your Trip is Canceled or Interrupted, Your Travel Investment is Protected
If you are like a lot of people these days, you don't just look forward to your vacations, you need them. A vacation is your opportunity to rest, relax, and recharge your batteries. Or to catch up with friends and family. Unfortunately, many things happen that might cause you to cancel your travel plans or cut them short. Illness or injury. The death of a family member. The worst part is, without adequate protection, you can lose your travel investment. The Hurtigruten Travel Protection Plan protects your travel investment if your trip is canceled or interrupted for a covered reason such as injury, illness or death of you, an immediate family member, or a traveling companion or business partner.

If you must interrupt your trip or return home early for a covered reason, the plan will pay (up to the original cost of your trip) for your unused land or water travel arrangements, less any refund paid or payable, plus the additional air expense to return home or rejoin your trip.

If you have a serious illness or injury, the last thing you want to worry about is getting the care you need. The Hurtigruten Travel Protection Plan gives you peace of mind with benefits that cover, up to the plan's limits, everything from medical expenses (incurred within one year of a sickness or injury that began during your trip) to special transportation (such as an air ambulance) required for medical reasons.

Travel Delayed? You're OK!
You'll be reimbursed up to $100 per day (to a maximum of $1,000 total) for meals and accommodations if your trip is delayed for more than 12 hours for a covered reason.

Baggage Lost or Damaged? You're Protected!
It's a traveler's nightmare. You arrive at your destination, but your baggage has disappeared. Or has been stolen or damaged. What do you do? If you're protected by the Hurtigruten Travel Protection Plan, you'll be reimbursed up to $2,000 to replace or repair your lost or damaged luggage and personal articles.

Baggage Delayed? Need Clothes and Toiletries? Count on us!
The plan reimburses you up to $100 per day (to a maximum of $500 total) to help cover the cost of clothing, toiletries and/or personal items if your baggage is delayed for more than 24 hours while you are on your trip.

Accidental Death Benefit
Your beneficiaries will receive payment according to the Plan's Schedule of Coverages for accidental death which occurs within 365 days of an injury sustained while you are on your trip.

PLEASE NOTE: Certain exclusions and limitations apply and are detailed in the Certificate of Coverage which will be included with your confirmation invoice and is also available to you, upon request, at any time prior to your purchase of the plan. For example, coverage does not apply to; any sickness or condition of you, a Traveling Companion or an Immediate Family Member traveling with you that existed during the 60 days prior to the effective date of the coverages (this exclusion is waived if your plan payment is received within 7 days of your initial deposit/payment for your trip and you are not disabled from travel at the time your plan payment is received), suicide, normal pregnancy, war or any act of war, mental or nervous disorders. Other Covered Events, as defined, includes the following events or their consequences: 1) Post-Departure Trip Interruption due to cancellation of arrangements by an airline due to strike, mechanical breakdown or bad weather (Maximum of $500 total) or 2) cancellation or interruption of your Trip due to: a documented traffic accident while en route to departure; jury duty; destruction of your Home or workplace by a natural disaster; or a documented theft of passports or visas. A Traveling Companion is defined as a person whose name appears with yours on the same Trip arrangement and also is booked to share accommodations during your Trip. Sickness or Injury must require care by a Physician and must commence while the Travel Protection Plan is in force for you. This plan does not cover a loss that results from an illness, disease, or other condition (of you, an Immediate Family Member, Traveling Companion or Business Partner), event or circumstance which occurs at a time when this plan is not in effect for you.
