Claiming to be the oldest seaside resort in the United States, Cape May’s beaches and historic buildings draw more than 100,000 seasonal guests per year. The city is located on the Cape May Peninsula where the Delaware Bay and the Atlantic Ocean meet. It holds the second largest number of well-maintained Victorian-era houses after San Francisco, and is a world-famous spot for bird migration observation during the fall season.
