Hammamet, Tunisia

The city of Hammamet is one of the original tourist spots in Tunisia due to its miles of sunny beaches. A consummate resort city, the beaches are perfect for swimming and the hotels are first rate. The restored 12th century Kasbah gives visitors a taste of Tunisia’s history, and the city’s proximity to Tunis and Kairouan makes it an excellent jumping off point for trips to the rest of the country. Visitors staying in the city may wander at leisure through the pedestrian friendly streets and browse the multitude of shops and market stalls in the city center.
