Homer, AK

Set on the shore of Kachemak Bay, Homer is a town famed for its art galleries, jam shops and marine life. The most notable attractions are tours of the bay, halibut fishing trips and the Pratt Museum. Bus tours to the top of Baycrest Hill for an awesome view of the bay and the mountains surrounding it are also popular. Thirsty tourists often visit the Salty Dawg Saloon, a century-old watering hole located on a five-mile sandbar in Kachemak Bay.
