Kasaan is a small, historical community of the Kaigani Haida located on the Prince of Wales Island in Alaska. People moved to the area in the early 1900s because of the draw of jobs from the copper mining and cannery nearby. One of the biggest attractions to the area, aside from the beautiful landscape, is to go on a walking tour among the various totems spread around the town.
