This historic town, located on the Hudson River, was originally settled in 1652 and became New York's first capital in 1777. Today you can visit over 20 pre-revolutionary homes and the site of the first senate meeting, visit the Rondout Lighthouse, take a ride on an antique trolley or browse through one of the town's museums.
