Malekula Island, Vanuatu

Malekula is the second-largest island of Vanuatu, a group of 83 islands located north of New Zealand in the Pacific Ocean. Anthropologists frequent Malekula, which is home to two native tribes whose cultures have been well-preserved. Tours to the traditional villages of the Small Nambas may include demonstrations of tribal dances or visits to hunting grounds.
