Located on the Gulf Coast in Louisiana, New Orleans lies about five and a half hours east of Houston, TX. It is within a two-hour drive of Mobile, AL, and Baton Rouge, LA, and approximately three hours from Jackson, MS.
Driving Directions and Parking Information
Port of New Orleans The Port of New Orleans is 16 miles from New Orleans International Airport. Parking is $14.00 per day (rates subject to change by Port Authority). From I-10, east of New Orleans - Take Business 90 toward the Westbank. Exit at Tchoupitoulas/South Peters exit and continue to Tchoupitoulas Street. Turn right on Tchoupitoulas Street and continue to Henderson Street. Turn left on Henderson Street and go two blocks. Go over the railroad tracks and turn left. Go directly into the Erato Street Parking Entrance. From I-10, west of New Orleans - Take Pontchartrain Expressway toward the Westbank exit at Tchoupitoulas/South Peters exit and continue to Tchoupitoulas Street. Turn right on Tchoupitoulas Street and continue to Henderson Street. Turn left on Henderson Street and go two blocks. Go over the railroad tracks and turn left. Go directly into the Erato Street Parking Entrance.
Poland Avenue Cruise Terminal Princess passengers use the Poland Avenue Cruise Facility. From I-10, west of New Orleans - Take I-10 east to New Orleans and veer left onto I-610. Go to Elysian Fields exit. At base of ramp turn right onto Elysian Fields. Once on Elysian Fields, go approximately one mile to Rampart St. Go one block further, and make U-turn back to Rampart St., then turn right. Go approximately two miles on Rampart (the name changes to St. Claude Ave.) to Poland Avenue (do not cross bridge) and turn right. Go five blocks to dead end and turn right on Chartres St. Go over the railroad tracks and turn left up ramp to Poland Avenue Cruise Facility. Parking is in lot adjacent to terminal. From I-10, east of New Orleans - Take I-10 west and exit at Elysian Fields. At base of ramp continue straight on Elysian Fields. Once on Elysian Fields, go approximately one mile to Rampart St. Go one block further, and make U-turn back to Rampart St., then turn right. Go approximately two miles on Rampart (the name changes to St. Claude Ave.) to Poland Avenue (do not cross bridge) and turn right. Go five blocks to dead end and turn right on Chartres St. Go over the railroad tracks and turn left up ramp to Poland Avenue Cruise Facility. Parking is in lot adjacent to terminal. Parking costs $14 per day for conventional vehicles and $28 per day for oversize vehicles. Please have your cruise ticket available as you will need to show it to enter the lot. The lot is secure, lighted and patrolled.
