The village of Northport is located in Leelanua County. With an approximate population of just 648 people, the total area of the village is only 1.7 square miles. The hills are covered in cherry and apple orchards and the beautifully restored Grand Traverse Lighthouse stands tall as a museum in Leelanau State Park, located close to the village's harbor. There are also several antique shops and art galleries to browse through, including the Tamarack Craftsman gallery.
