Parintins is a vibrant riverside city in the Amazon region, best known for the annual Boi-Bumbá Festival, one of Brazil's most colorful cultural celebrations. Held at the Bumbódromo arena, the festival features rival folklore performances, music, dance, and elaborate floats representing local legends. Situated on the island of Tupinambarana along the Amazon River, Parintins offers a strong connection to Indigenous and riverine traditions. Outside festival season, visitors can experience local markets, and the surrounding rainforest landscape shaped by the rhythms of the river.
