Qena, Egypt

Qena is a prosperous and modern city that is undeniably linked to the past. Located along the Red Sea and very near Luxor, Qena is a mecca for historians studying the ruins of Dendara. The famous Maghrebi Abd el-Rahim tomb and mosque is also located here, and was orginally built in 1100.
