Though Tok has a population of fewer than 2,000, it is a trade center for the nearby Athabascan Native villages, so you’ll find many opportunities to pick up a variety of local arts and crafts. Highlights of the area include nature trails and bike paths, birds and wildlife, the chance to pan for gold, and spectacular views by flightseeing. Visitors from August through May might be lucky enough to witness the spectacular Northern Lights.
