Upolu Island is known for its beautiful palm-lined beaches along the south coast. The most famous beach on the island, the Return To Paradise, was popularized in a film of the same name and is the perfect spot for a picnic. Salamuma and Aganoa black-sand beaches offer the best swimming areas, while the easternmost tip of Upolu is home to the most breathtaking areas of Samoa with intriguing coral reefs and brilliant blue waters.
