This ancient city was once the capital of England in Viking times, and York has retained much of its original charm. Cars are banned from the town's center, and its streets are narrow and cobbled. Outside the city, you'll find England's legendary Moors. Travel through the beautiful North York Moors National Park on a steam train. It's a wonderful way to see this unique, beautiful part of England, which is quintessential Northern England.
