The first in Royal Caribbean's Ultra Voyager class of ships, the Freedom of the Seas weighs in at an impressive 158,000 tons and includes the same innovative and adventurous features found on the popular Voyager-class ships -- ice-skating rinks, rock-climbing walls and high-energy Royal Promenades -- but with a number of exciting new additions that promise to be some of the most unforgettable at sea. Catch a wave on the FlowRider Surf Park, a surfing pool that simulates the feeling of riding a 10-foot wave moving at 20 mph, or splash around with the kids at the H2O Zone Waterpark complete with interactive sculpture fountains, ground geysers and cascading waterfall. This ship also boasts a full-size Everlast boxing ring. To relax, enjoy the calming waters and fantastic views of cantilevered whirlpools that extend 12 feet beyond the sides of the ship. Extensive Wi-Fi capabilities and connectivity for cell phones will keep you in touch with friends and family at home, and flat-screen TVs in every stateroom are the perfect touch for a lazy afternoon of watching movies.
