The Viking Europe’s interior is comfortable yet uncluttered, and its Scandinavian-influenced interiors reflect neutral colors, fine woods and fabrics of wool, cashmere, cotton and linen. Passengers can choose from two cabin options -- standard or deluxe -- but all are outside cabins with windows, some of which slide open. A Promenade Deck allows passengers close views of the scenery as the ship cruises past villages and into ports. Between destinations, the cozy library is perfect for relaxing with a good book, or passengers can unwind at the ship's bar and lounge. Crisp tablecloth linens, fine china and crystal, and fresh flowers and candles adorn every table in the casually elegant restaurant, which serves classic gourmet meals and regional specialties prepared specially for American tastes.
