This provincial capital lies near the Po River amid the fertile northern plains. Cremona offers some very attractive churches and palaces richly decorated with terra cotta tiles, as well as a harbor on the Po Canal. The town is best known for its famous violin makers - Amati, Stradivarius and Guarneri, and the tradition continues today.
