Romblon Island, Philippines
Romblon Island is actually made up of series of islands, each with its own unique characteristics. Romblon, the main island, boasts Logbon, Alad and Cobrador, three islets with white-sand beaches, as well as St. Joseph Cathedral, built in the 15th century, and San Andres, a Spanish fort made of coral bricks. Tablas Island has magnificent waterfalls and the gray-sand Poctoy Beach. At the southern tip of the island is Canyayo Beach, a combination of white sand and crushed coral overlooking Mt. Guiting-Guiting, the highest peak in Romblon.
