Viking Cruises Dining Information

Viking provides regional specialties as well as traditional European and Continental cuisine to whet the appetite after a long day of sightseeing. Whether enjoying one of the homemade pastries during afternoon tea, or savoring the elegant dinners, cuisine on Viking is sure to please.

Main Dining Room Policies: Viking offers both traditional and open seating dining options.

Dress Code: For evenings, while there are no “formal nights”, the recommended onboard dress is Elegant Casual for most restaurants. Suggested attire for ladies includes a dress, skirt or slacks with a sweater or blouse; for gentlemen, trousers and a collared shirt. A tie and jacket are optional, but not required. Dinner in The World Café remains comfortable and casual, with daytime dress deemed appropriate.

Beverage Policy: Complimentary wine, beer & soft drinks are offered during onboard dinner and lunch service.

Special Requests: Every meal has vegetarian options and our chefs will make reasonable efforts to accommodate requests. Guests requiring special diets—low salt, diabetic, gluten-free and low cholesterol —should alert us 90 days prior to departure and inform the Maître d’ when on board.

All dining rooms onboard Viking ships are smoke-free.
