Your first stop is in Pont du Gard to see the largest remaining Roman Aqueduct in France. Visit the Roman Ampitheater and see the Maison Carree, France’s best preserved Roman temple. Continue past Montepellier and arrive in Narbonne for lunch and a wine tasting at the Chateau L’Hospitalet. Reach the medieval, walled town of Carcassonne in the late afternoon for an orientation walk and evening at leisure.
