Cruise Line Fuel Surcharges

Due to escalating fuel prices, the following cruise lines have added a fuel surcharge. This charge is in addition to the cost of the cruise and any government taxes or fees. Bookings made before the effective date of a cruise line's surcharge are exempt.

Hurtigruten will assess a fuel surcharge of $8 per person, per day to bookings made on or after April 1, 2011 for all sailings.

P&O Cruises will assess fuel surcharges based on booking date and departure date as shown below.

Bookings made on or after March 18, 2013 will incur a per person supplement of £20 to £230 per person, based on the duration of the cruise. Your Vacations To Go cruise counselor can give you the specific fuel surcharge information for the sailing you choose.

The supplement will apply to every paying passenger travelling, including 3rd and 4th person fares and paid children’s places. The fuel supplements for cruises prior to this remain at the existing rate.

Swan Hellenic will apply a fuel surcharge of $6 per person, per day (maximum $225 per person) to bookings made from February 1, 2011 onward for all cruises that depart on or after April 30, 2011. Sailings that depart prior to April 30, 2011 are exempt from the surcharge, as well as any sailing booked prior to February 1, 2011.

Voyages of Discovery will apply a fuel surcharge of $6 per person, per day (maximum $225 per person) to bookings made from February 1, 2011 onward for all cruises that depart on or after April 30, 2011. Sailings that depart prior to April 30, 2011 are exempt from the surcharge, as well as any sailing booked prior to February 1, 2011.
