Saumlaki is the chief town on Yamdena island, the largest island of the Tanimbar Islands. Its forests are largely inhabited by Water Buffalo, and travelers will have the opportunity to witness other various wildlife as well. There are plenty of hand-crafted items to admire or purchase, including items of goldwork, Ikat weaving, and woodcarving.
