Sonderborg is located in the southernmost part of Denmark. It has a rich history, and is well known for housing the Sonderborg Castle, which began as a fortified tower in 1158. Travelers can also visit the Sandbjerg Estate, passed down from Sonderborg royalty and now owned by Aarhus University after a donation in 1954. Travel through the town is easy by bus, and Sonderborg is also very bike friendly.
