The coral atoll of Sorol is one of nine small islands that make up the central Caroline Islands in the Pacific Ocean. Along the northern rim of the atoll, there is a reef with several islets and a deep lagoon. The southern rim has two small passages into the lagoon and four large islets. Sorol's isolated and uninhabited nature allows the wildlife to thrive with marine species like giant sweetlips, angelfish, trevally, and schools of barracuda. There is also a large population of seabirds that live on the island as well. Visitors will not be disappointed with a visit to this small, natural paradise.
