Kom Ombo, Egypt

The city of Kom Ombo, located 28 miles north of Aswan, is home to the legendary temple of the same name. The temple of Kom Ombo sits on a dune overlooking the Nile River. Construction began in the early second century B.C. The temple of Kom Ombo is actually two temples: a temple to Sobek and a temple of Haroeris.
