Discovered first by famous Antarctic explorer Adrien de Gerlache, Neko Harbor is now one of the most visited destinations on the continent. The harbor was named after a whaling boat that operated in this area in the early 20th century, the Neko. Along with Paradise Bay, Neko Harbor is the hub for Antarctic tourism and offers stunning views of the arctic landscape including icebergs, glaciers and many species of wildlife.
