Port Lockroy, Antarctica

Port Lockroy is situated on scenic Neumayer Channel and is home to the recently restored buildings of Britain’s Base A. The site is now part of the British Antarctic Heritage Trust, which maintains the station as a museum. Large colonies of gentoo penguins, as well as a small group of blue-eyed shags, also can be seen in the area.
