Speyer is a historic German city with many architectural delights that attest to its past. The Kaiserdom is the largest Romanesque edifice in Germany and contains the royal tombs of emperors, empresses, kings, and bishops. The Palatinate Historical Museum lies next door, with over 300,000 artifacts. Also nearby is the Wine Museum with the world's oldest bottle of wine (circa 300 A.D.).
