Vatersay is the most southerly inhabited island of the Outer Hebrides and is rich in wildlife, including otters, seals and herons. Vatersay's history dates back to the Bronze Age, and remains of a cairn built around 1000 BC and a Bronze Age cemetery can be found on the island.
