Royal Caribbean Dining Information

Dining on Royal Caribbean is an adventure, with many exciting options to choose from. Enjoy a lively meal in one of the main dining rooms, where your personal server will greet you with your favorite cocktail and prepare exotic desserts at your table, or linger over a romantic table for two at one of the luxurious specialty restaurants. Royal Caribbean also offers casual cafés and 24-hour room service. There will be a service charge of $7.95 per delivery for room service orders.

Main Dining Room Policies: Royal Caribbean guests are assigned to one of two seatings in the main dining room for their evening meal, early or late. The early and late seating times can vary by ship or itinerary, but are usually at around 6:15 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., respectively. Royal Caribbean also offers My Time Dining, which allows you to dine in the main dining room anytime between the hours of 6:00 – 9:30 pm (times vary by ship).

Dress Code: With the exception of formal nights, dress is casual. 3, 4 and 5 night cruises have one formal night. 6 and 7 night cruises have two formal nights. Cruises that last longer than 8 nights will typically have three formal nights. For casual dinners, appropriate attire for men is slacks (no jeans) and a sports shirt, while women are advised to wear slacks and blouse, a sundress or a pantsuit. At informal dinners, men are expected to wear a jacket or sports coat, with or without a tie, or a collared shirt, whereas women should don a dress, blouse and skirt, or pantsuit. On formal evenings, men should wear a dark suit or a tuxedo, while women should dress in an evening gown or cocktail dress. Shorts, t-shirts and swimwear are never permitted in the main dining room.

Beverage Policy: All beverages except tea and water are at an extra cost. Juice and coffee free with breakfast. Soft drink card available. Wine & Dine wine package available.

Special Requests: Special meals are available including low-fat, vegetarian, gluten-free, lactose-free, low/no sodium and low/no cholesterol meals, as well as sugar-free and fat-free desserts. Kosher meals are available on all ships and itineraries, and must be requested at least 90 days prior to sailing for European and South American itineraries, and at least 45 days in advance for all other itineraries. Kosher for Passover meal requests must be received at least 90 days in advance in order to be accommodated.

Specialty Dining Packages: Purchase a specialty restaurant dining package to take advantage of special savings. The more you dine, the more you save.

3 and 5-Night: Experience our unique specialty restaurants and enjoy great savings when you purchase this package to dine at 3 or 5 different venues. For pricing and reservations, visit your MyCruise portal.

Chops +1: Guests can experience our signature steakhouse plus one other specialty restaurant at additional savings when they purchase the Chops +1 Dining Package. Guests can select their dining party and preferred dining time and a courtesy dinner reservation will be made on their behalf in Chops for either the first or second night of the cruise. On Day 1, they will receive their reservation confirmation in their stateroom. To make their second reservation, or to alter their Chops reservations, they can simply visit one of our Hospitality Desks or any specialty restaurant.

Unlimited: Guests will be able to dine in any restaurant on their sailing as many times as they like based on availability. Giovanni's Italian Kitchen Wine Bar, Playmakers, Fish & Ships, Portside BBQ, Izumi Sushi, and the Mason Jar late night menu are considered a la carte venues. For restaurants with a la carte pricing, guests will receive a $20 food credit ($34.99 for Izumi Sushi) that can be used once per day.
