The sophisticated Costa Luminosa lives up to its name with dazzling lighting throughout and enchanting decor that is unmatched at sea. This, combined with the decorative use of precious materials, such as mother of pearl, ebony, noble hardwood and mosaics, creates a contemporary feel onboard. Appealing to guests’ sense of wonder, the Phoenix Theater magically incorporates LED technology and spectacular lighting effects into its evening entertainment and the one-of-a-kind 4-D cinema. The use of unique shapes and changing colors, reminiscent of the sea, is evident in such venues as the Electra Bar, Vega Casino, Altair Disco and Taurus Restaurant.
Passengers can choose from a variety of exciting activities. Enjoy a round of golf at one of the world’s premier courses on the ship’s 18-hole golf course simulator, take a thrilling ride on a Formula 1 race car driving simulator or stop by the roller-skating rink on the way to a relaxing afternoon at the Samsara Spa. The elegant Luminosa will certainly impress passengers with all it has to offer, and since a large number of cabins and suites have balconies, guests will also experience a high level of comfort and luxury as well. On Europe sailings that depart May through October and Caribbean sailings that depart December through March, Costa requires that at least one passenger in each cabin be 25 or older.
Costa will automatically add $12.00 per day, per guest to your onboard account for cruises departing from the U.S. (€10 per day, per guest for cruises not departing from the U.S. and €8 per day, per guest for world cruises). These amounts cannot be adjusted onboard. A 15% tip is added to all beverage orders. The service fee for children between the ages of 4 and 14 will be 50% less than adult fees, and no children under the age of 4 will be charged a service fee.
