Cabo De La Vela, or "Cape of Sails," is located on the Guajira Peninsula, the northernmost region of Colombia. The cape is surrounded by the La Guajira Desert and is home to the Wayúu people, who are renowned for their weaving skills. Cabo De La Vela is also notable for its pristine beaches and shoreline of clear, turquoise water, as well as its saline lagoons and mudflats, where visitors can see a large population of American flamingos.
