Concarneau is a popular fishing village and summer resort in France. The well known "ville close" is an old stone fortified town with a few narrow streets filled with restaurants, cafes, and shops. Visitors are encouraged to take a scenic walk along the coastal path from Quai de la Croix as it takes you past beautiful villas down to the Sables Blancs beach. Concarneau is also known for its yearly festivals and historical architecture.
