Deriving its name from the stunning hillside seen just east of town, Largs is a cozy seaside town known for its Viking roots. The town hosts the Largs Viking Festival each September to celebrate its Viking heritage, and in July the Brisbane Queen Festival is held to honor the life of local scholar Thomas Brisbane.
