Found just north of Vangunu Island, Marovo Lagoon is the world's largest saltwater lagoon. Despite the fact that Marovo Lagoon does not have picturesque beaches, there are many spectacular sights to be found. Within its waters are hundreds of small islands full of beautiful coconut palms and rainforests. The coral reefs are perfect for snorkeling or diving, and they are brimming with many varieties of tropical fish. Visitors are also welcome to explore the sacred sites and deserted islands, go on a kayak adventure, or trek through the rainforests spread around the lagoon.
