The Stikine Icecap is a vast, high-elevation icefield straddling the border of northwestern British Columbia and southeastern Alaska. It feeds numerous outlet glaciers and headwaters for major rivers (including the Stikine and Taku), shaping deep glaciated valleys and rugged alpine terrain. The icecap supports specialized cold-climate ecosystems and is prized by mountaineers and scientists.
