Ulva Island is a small island that is part of Stewart Island in New Zealand. A great majority of the island is part of Rakiura National Park. It was declared rat free in 1997 and subsequently, locally extinct birds have been reintroduced to the island. The many rare birds on this island make it a perfect destination for an avid birdwatcher.
