On February 21, we set sail on the beautiful MSC World America for a 7-night sailing to Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic and San Juan, Puerto Rico.

During the Cruise Director's sail-away party, Nelson F. from Atlanta, GA, took second place in the ship-wide dance contest. Way to set the vibe of our vacation, Nelson! That evening, Jerry G. from Grand Rapids, MI and Joan H. from Salem, OR were granted access to the exclusive speakeasy club on board for front-row seats at the show. Hint: The speakeasy is hidden inside the telephone booth!

Chris K. from Warwick, NY rode the Cliffhanger swings over the side of the ship before taking the Jaw Drop that slides 10 decks down to the Promenade. What a daredevil! Cham P. from Hopewell, VA, Deb S. from East Meadow, NY, Rustum T. from Ottawa, ON and Terresa N. from Woodstock, GA chose a more laid-back approach and enjoyed an afternoon wine tasting led by the ship's sommelier.

In Puerto Plata, we embarked on a scenic downtown walking tour, highlighted by the famous Rainbow Umbrella Street where Paul P. from Puyallup, WA sampled scrumptious empanadas. The afternoon was complete with a beachside lunch at Country World Resort and a tour of the tropical gardens. Woody G. from Crossville, TN got the opportunity to befriend a white parrot and feed the horses!

San Juan was an extended port day, allowing us to explore until 11pm. Pam C. from El Reno, OK, Sarah S. from Arlington, TX and Sean O. from Cordova, TN enjoyed a foodie tour through Old Town. Delish!

Our final day at sea was highlighted with an epic Battle of the Sexes, where Mary W. from Arlington, TX led the women in a come-from-behind victory over Keith C. from Tampa, FL and the men. A standing ovation for our ladies!

The perfect week at sea filled with friendship, food and far more adventures than we can count. Until next time!
