Dear Vacations To Go Singles Customer,

In our July newsletter, we asked for your feedback on how we can improve our singles cruises at Vacations To Go. Thank you all for the many thoughtful and constructive suggestions you shared with us. Below, I have listed some of the ideas we are acting on immediately.

Suggestion: new icebreaker games or other ways to welcome first-timers

Thank you for the feedback Lori R. from Port Angeles, WA and Paulette C. from Redondo Beach, CA! We created 15 new activities and can't wait to introduce them onboard. Special thanks to Wendy J. from Frostburg, MD for suggesting the numbers challenge during Battle of the Sexes. We just started using it to everyone's delight!

We're most excited to debut Hot Seat and Would You Rather.

Suggestion: new ways to communicate with the singles hosts and participants

We plan to use GroupMe, a messaging app that will enable cruisers to easily communicate onboard and in port with our hosts and other VTG cruisers. We will share our singles schedule and any late-breaking singles group news on a group distribution list. Singles cruisers can also communicate one-on-one with the hosts. Lastly, guests can also organize their own impromptu meetups! We'll launch this on our upcoming Halloween cruises by sharing the link, with instructions, to join the group thread when we send out our singles activity schedule.

Suggestion: new cocktail party theme nights

Thank you Marlene B. from Reno, NV for suggesting that before each sailing we create a Facebook page specifically for cruisers to vote on themes. New themes will run the gamut from silly to sophisticated to locally focused, and all of them will be geared towards bringing the group together and injecting fun!

Suggestion: more outdoor group activities on sea days

Great idea Helaine T. from New York, NY. We plan to add miniature golf tournaments, water slide races, morning walks around the jogging track, pickleball and more!

Thanks to Leslie R. from Glendale, AZ for suggesting that we bring back the cabin door decoration contest. If you're booked on our 2024 Halloween cruise, be prepared to decorate!

Suggestion: longer and more exotic itineraries

Thanks go to Renee G. from Raleigh, NC for the Iceland suggestion! Many mentioned Tahiti and Hawaii in the survey and we are on board with that! Exciting things are coming in 2026 so be on the lookout!

More Virgin Voyages cruises were requested and we agree, Kayah R. from Marietta, GA, and Linda K. from Land O' Lakes, FL! We can't wait to sail with Virgin again in 2026.

On June 22, the Vacations To Go Singles boarded the Enchanted Princess and sailed the Western Caribbean for 7 nights. We visited Princess Cays, San Juan, Amber Cove and Grand Turk during our trip!

Our first day was spent at Princess' private island, Princess Cays. Scott C. was first off the ship and Georgina G. and Levy S. from New Zealand joined a short time after for some snorkeling and swimming! Did you know that Princess Cays has over a mile and a half of fluffy white sandy beaches? After relaxing at the beach, we enjoyed a delicious Caribbean lunch and a beautiful buffet of fruit!

The following sea day was filled with icebreakers, line dancing and karaoke. We started with the name game where we went around a circle and learned everyone's names. Afterward, Linda T. led our first line dance, the electric slide! Later that night, George F. took the stage to sing karaoke and had five backup dancers on stage with him.

In San Juan, a group of people got off for sightseeing and shopping in Old Towne. As we arrived at the famous Umbrella Street, it poured rain so we ducked into an ice cream shop, where several singles enjoyed ice cream for breakfast! Darrell S. split up from the group to visit the cat sanctuary on the island; he mentioned that he always travels with cat treats to give to the local cats!

While at Amber Cove, the singles saw highlights of the city, then spent the rest of the day at Jack Tar Resort enjoying lunch and the beach. Our first stop was the cathedral, then Umbrella Street (yes, Amber Cove has one too) and Paseo de Dona Blanca (Pink Street). Each stop was abundant with gorgeous photo backdrops.  At Jack Tar, Solange M. was one of the first singles running into the water to cool off while Pat T. and a few others went shopping for treasures at the vendor stalls.

At our last stop, Grand Turk, we explored the island and enjoyed the beautiful waters. Mary Kay P. organized a snorkel shore excursion for some of the singles. They reported back they had a great time and saw beautiful schools of tropical fish! That night was a formal night. Everyone dressed their best and we took a group photo after our party!

Battle of the Sexes is a friendly competition that takes place at the end of all of our cruises. It's a chance to win and show off your athletic and trivia skills. Stephanie D. and Debbie D. kept the men on their toes by giving specific answers, and Mary Kay P. led the women to victory 26-15. Great work ladies! If we missed you this time, we hope to see you on the next!
