New Zealand offers a diverse landscape, from alpine mountains and beautiful lakes to rugged cliffs and sandy beaches. Some Australia and New Zealand cruises also make calls in Asia. Each year, there are a few long voyages to Australia and New Zealand from ports on the U.S. mainland, such as New York and Los Angeles.

• Australia and New Zealand cruises are generally 3 to 16 nights, but longer cruises are offered.
   
• If you fly from North America to begin your cruise, you will cross the International Date Line and lose a day. Furthermore, your flight will take nearly an entire day. This requires that you leave your hometown for your port of departure at least two days in advance of your cruise. However, we suggest that you leave three or four days before your cruise to allow time to rest and get oriented before boarding the ship. Most cruise lines offer pre-cruise hotel packages.
