Windstar Weddings

Windstar offers onboard weddings in port and on shore, and a variety of services to help you plan a fantastic wedding, including providing you a personal wedding coordinator. In order to use their services, you must first make a booking through a Vacations To Go cruise counselor who will then act as your liaison to Windstar's wedding coordinator.

Windstar offers a vow renewal package that functions as a wedding ceremony. You and your captain will agree upon a date, time, and venue that works best for you. The ceremony will last approximately a half hour with vows exchanged and the vow certificate signed. The guest services manager can assist with taking pictures with your camera if requested. After the vows, there will be cake and champagne for all to toast. Additionally, a bouquet for the bride or a flower arrangement for the table will be provided.

Because none of the staff onboard is ordained to perform a wedding, there are several other options to have a legal wedding with Windstar:

• You may bring along a friend or relative who has been ordained before the voyage to be legally married onboard anywhere Windstar sails.
• If you'd prefer to be married ship side, you can seek out a vendor or organization to marry you alongside your cruise ship at a port of call during your voyage and incorporate the ceremony that Windstar offers. Please note some countries have tight restrictions on marriages; you may have to have been a citizen for a certain amount of time for it to be legal while on land in foreign countries.
• Finally, you have the option of using Windstar's services to function as a formal ceremony, and you can get legally married as soon as you arrive home from your cruise.

Customization is available for the vow package for larger groups, including but not limited to a bigger cake, more champagne, and a private cocktail party.
