Castellon is located south of the Desert de les Palmes Mountains on the eastern cost of Spain. The area's 74 miles of coastline has everything from pristine beaches to secluded coves lapped by the Mediterranean Sea. Most historical buildings and monuments are located in the main square, with the exception of the Basílica of Santa Maria del Lledó, which sits at the end of an avenue lined with orange trees at the northeast edge of town.
