Grand Manan is the largest of the Fundy Islands, located in the Bay of Fundy and known for its dramatic cliffs, fishing communities, and coastal scenery. The island features lighthouses, quiet harbors, and rocky shorelines shaped by some of the world's highest tides. Visitors can walk or bike along marked shoreline and cliffside trails, or visit the iconic Swallowtail Lighthouse, a recognized Federal Heritage building. Whale watching excursions and small villages with local shops and seafood add to the experience. Birdwatching is also popular, particularly along the cliffs.
