Ishinomaki is a city in the Miyagi Prefecture in northeastern Japan. Despite damage done to the city in the 2011 tsunami, Ishinomaki is making great strides toward reconstruction and improvement to revitalize itself. As one of the main fishing grounds in Japan, the port area also offers spectacular views of the ocean and the surrounding islands. Ishinomaki is also known for its manga museum and manga themed trains that run through the city. Fans will consider it a must-see destination.
