Lochmaddy is the main settlement on the Outer Hebridean isle of North Uist. Historically a fishing village, it offers peaceful walks with sights ranging from a museum and arts center to a Neolithic camera obscura - a stone hut built to reflect an image of Loch nam Madadh on its interior wall.
