Located in the south-western region of Krasnodar Krai in Russia, Novorossiysk is a major transportation center and the most important Russian port on the Black Sea. The areas surrounding the port boast the beautiful landscapes of the Caucasus Mountains, and lakes like the Abrau. Much of Novorossiysk is filled with military history as well. There are various military memorials and museums such as the Kutusov battle ship and other landmarks to honor the Hero City of Russia.
