Opatija is a seaside town located on the Adriatic coast in western Croatia at the foot of Ucka Mountain. It is a popular summer and winter resort surrounded by bay laurel woods and rocky coastal areas. Tourists should visit St. Jakov's Church, mentioned for the first time in 1439, and the Benedictine monastery next door. Also, during your stay, have a meal at the acclaimed Opatija Hotel restaurant, which dates back to the late 19th century.
