Located on the coast of Northern Ireland, Portrush has been greeting travelers for generations. What started as a small fishing village is now a busy seaside port that hosts large numbers of visitors each summer. Portrush boasts some of the best beaches in Ireland for surfing and other watersports. There are options for restaurants, bars, gastro pubs, and cafes to fit all styles and price ranges, and the night life varies from lively dance clubs to elegant wine bars. In the harbor, guests can visit the indoor waterpark called Waterworld or head out to the adjacent nature reserve full of fossil bearing rocks. Some of the charming and quirky aspects of Portrush can be seen in the Town Hall that resembles a fairytale castle and the mock-Tudor railway station.
